Job summary

ASPEN VALLEY SKI/NORDIC CLUB seeks a Nordic Program Director to lead the competitive Nordic program, guiding training philosophy, scheduling, and athlete development for ~40 participants. The role requires budgeting, risk management, and strong leadership across coaches, families, and partners.

The director will coordinate with USSA/RMD, schools, and AVSC committees, while acting as media spokesperson and ensuring program excellence aligned with AVSC values.

Responsibilities

• Vision and Direction: set goals for Nordic program and establish plans for year-round offerings.
• Risk Management: review safety statistics and document coaching training.
• Fiscal Responsibility: help define annual budget and pricing; oversee fundraising events.
• Program Support/Supervision: act as head coach; manage coaching staff; coordinate events and travel.
• Collaboration with Other AVSC Programs: coordinate resources with other programs and Base Camp recruitment.
• Partnerships: engage with AVSC partners including schools and USSA/RMD.
• Other: assist with club fundraising and communicate program goals to families.
