Job description

Talladega College, NAIA member of the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference is accepting applications for the position of Head Men’s Basketball Coach. This position is a Full-time, 12-month assignment, reporting to the Director of Athletics.

Responsibilities:

  • Overall management of the program including coaching, recruitment and retention of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes in a rigorous academic environment.
  • Scheduling and budget management and travel arrangements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required; Master’s degree preferred; minimum of three to five years of successful coaching experience at the collegiate level or as a head coach at the high school level required; head collegiate coaching experience preferred; demonstrated knowledge of NAIA and GCAC rules and a commitment to the academic development of student-athletes required. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with staff, faculty, students, parents and alumni from diverse ethnic, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.
