Position Overview

The Head Track & Field Coach will be responsible for the daily management of a Division II men's and women's track and field program. This includes attending all sport-related activities, communicating with student-athletes, and fostering their academic and athletic growth. The coach will oversee all program aspects and serve as the program's representative within CSP Athletics and the broader institution, supporting CSP's mission and values while mentoring student-athletes.

Essential Duties

• Program administration: Attend staff meetings, assist with travel, scheduling, and communicate with athletic administration. Delegate duties and manage budgets.
• Technical instruction: Oversee practices and competitions, implement drills, and prepare game strategies.
• Fundraising: Lead sport-specific fundraising activities.
• Recruiting: Manage recruitment activities, communicate with prospects, evaluate talents and academic qualifications, and oversee social media strategies.
• Ensure compliance with NCAA, NSIC, and CSP regulations, including passing the NCAA recruiting exam annually.
• Alumni Relations: Manage alumni engagement specific to the sport.
• CSP Relations: Coordinate with various CSP departments such as Financial Aid, Academic Advising, and Admissions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's preferred.
• Certification or Licensure required.
• American Red Cross CPR Certification required.
• Experience as a head or assistant coach at the collegiate level preferred.
