Job summary

Thief River Falls Public School in Challenger Elementary School is hiring for a Maintenance/Custodial position. Immediate start; duties include maintaining the building, performing heating, plumbing and electrical work, and cleaning tasks to keep facilities in top operating condition.

The role also involves supervising and training cleaning staff, with assignments determined by the Manager of Building and Grounds. A boilers license or the ability to obtain one within 6 months is required.

Qualifications

• Boilers license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment.
• Experience in floor maintenance, carpentry, electrical, heating, and general maintenance.
• Preference for demonstrated supervision experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain school buildings and grounds in operating condition.

Duties: Maintain school buildings and grounds in a condition of operating excellence. Performs maintenance/repairs including, but not limited to, heating, plumbing and electrical assignments along with cleaning duties. Supervise and train cleaning staff. Specific assignments to be determined at the discretion of the Manager of Building and Grounds and may vary based upon need.

Requirements: Must have (or be able to obtain within 6 months) boilers license; knowledge and ability to safely operate maintenance equipment; good background in floor maintenance, carpentry, electrical, heating and general maintenance. Preference given to candidate with demonstrated successful supervision experience.

• $20.92-$23.98/hour plus monthly stipend
