Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, train, direct, and counsel housekeeping and laundry staff with GM.
• Plan and review work schedules for rooms, laundry, and utilities.
• Supervise housekeeping and laundry staff daily.
• Train new employees in housekeeping and laundry.
• Monitor times, standards, and labor.
• Inspect daily rooms and coordinate repairs with Maintenance, Front Desk and GM.
• Inventory linen, supplies; submit orders to GM.
• Organize deep cleaning for guest rooms.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties as needed.
• Maintain daily housekeeping reports and coordinate with Front Desk for accurate system update.
• Supervise cleaning of common areas to maintain cleanliness.
• Ensure carts and equipment are clean and stocked.
• Follow company and brand standards for rooms, laundry, and common areas.
• Follow safety and security policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Red Roof Plus, Dublin, Ohio "Part of InnVite Hospitality Group" is looking for an experienced dynamic Head Housekeeper. This key position is responsible for the overall cleaning function in the hotel and to work closely with management to achieve company and brand objectives.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Jointly with GM interviews, hires, trains, directs, and counsels housekeeping and laundry staff.
2. Plans and reviews work schedules with GM for rooms, laundry & utilities based on occupancy.
3. Supervises the work activities of Housekeeping and laundry associates.
4. Trains new employees in housekeeping & laundry.
5. Monitors the housekeeping & laundry times, standards and labor on daily basis.
6. Makes daily rooms' inspection of all rooms. Reports and follows-up items in need of repair to Maintenance, Front Desk and GM.
7. Makes accurate inventories for linen, terry, room supplies, cleaning supplies. Submits orders as needed to the GM.
8. Organizes deep cleaning for guest rooms.
9. Performs laundry and housekeeping duties as and when required.
10. Updates and keeps control on all daily housekeeping reports and communicates with Front Desk for accurate system update.
11. Supervises the common areas' cleaning making sure that the hotel is always in the best clean and hygienic condition.
12. Ensures that all Housekeeping carts are clean and organized and restocked for the next day.
13. Ensures that the hotel equipment "vacuum cleaners" are always maintained in a clean and working condition.
14. Complies with the company and brand standards for rooms, laundry and common areas.
15. Complies with the company safety and security policies.
16. Performs other duties as assigned by management and/or designee.

Minimum requirements

1. Successful recent work experience in hotels or a field related to this position.
2. Proven computer and communication skills.
3. Valid driving license.
4. Leadership and supervisory skills, able to lead by example.
5. Possesses basic math and budgeting skills.
6. Physical ability to perform housekeeping duties.
7. Professional business appearance.
8. Excellent guest contact skills.
