Sumter School District Bates Middle School in Sumter, South Carolina seeks a Head Girls Track Coach for Bates Middle School to lead the girls track program, organize practices, and prepare athletes for competition. Responsibilities

Fosters good school-community relations by keeping the community aware of and responsive to the athletic program.
Ensures health and safety of student athletes; follows safety and first aid procedures and ensures physicals before participation.
Promotes positive relationships with parents and student athletes; conducts parent meetings before the season.
Ensures program compliance with school, District, SC High School League, and conference regulations; communicates policies to the team.
Ensures appropriate behavior of coaching staff, players and team personnel; attends coaches' meetings and clinics.
Promotes the program by sponsoring fundraisers, camps and team activities.
