Job summary

Brush School District is seeking a High School Girls Golf Head Coach at Brush High School. The role oversees the girls golf program, schedules practices and competitions, and mentors student-athletes toward both athletic and academic excellence.

You will lead practices, ensure safety and skill development, monitor behavior, comply with district and state rules, and collaborate with the Student Activities Director and school staff to cultivate a positive, inclusive team culture.

Qualifications

• Previous coaching or relevant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of rules, techniques, and strategies of the activity.
• Ability to work with high school-aged students.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must meet all district and state certification requirements (CPR, First Aid, coaching certifications, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Organize and conduct practices, competitions, and/or events
• Instruct student participants in fundamental skills, strategy, and safety
• Promote academic success and appropriate student conduct
• Supervise students at all times during practices, contests, and travel
• Maintain compliance with school, district, and state regulations
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, administration, and staff
• Assist with equipment inventory, care, and budget awareness
• Model and enforce sportsmanship and ethical behavior
• Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development
• Support multi-dimensional participation when appropriate
• Assist with skill development (swing mechanics, course management, etiquette)
• Support practice planning and match preparation
• Supervise student-athletes during practice rounds and competitions
• Help track scores and student-athlete progress

Position Summary:

The High School Girls Golf Head Coach is responsible for the organization, development, and supervision of a successful girls golf program. This includes:

• promoting sportsmanship and citizenship, and
• ensuring alignment with school, league, and state association expectations
• Commitment to building a positive and inclusive program culture.
• Emphasis on student development beyond competition (leadership, accountability, teamwork)
• Alignment with school and district values.
