Job summary

North Ridgeville City School District is seeking a Head Freshman Softball Coach to lead practice, develop players' skills, and model positive sportsmanship within the school community.

The role requires coaching credentials, a strong coaching philosophy, excellent communication and organizational abilities, and a history of high school coaching preferred.

Compensation is $4,600; candidates must meet district certification prerequisites and complete required trainings before engaging with students.

Qualifications

• Must be a proper role model for staff and students both in the school and outside the District.
• Possess a positive coaching philosophy and excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Previous high school coaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Possess all required coaching credentials.
• Follow and uphold the policies and procedures of North Ridgeville City Schools.
• Create a safe environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social and emotional development of students.
• Consult with the Athletic Director regarding off-season training programs, scheduling camps/practices, and facility use.
• Ensure team rules and regulations regarding conduct and eligibility are communicated and followed.
• Plan, organize, and conduct tryouts when applicable.
• Direct the operations of the program in conjunction with the Athletic Department.
• Instruct and demonstrate skill sets for development and performance.
• Work with the school athletic trainer on reporting injuries and safety procedures.
• Model good sportsmanship and maintain appropriate conduct toward opponents and fans.
• Create a proactive plan for athletes pursuing higher levels of athletics and academics.
