Job summary

Daimler Truck North America in Byesville, OH is seeking a hands-on technician to disassemble S60 and HDEP heads in accordance with remanufacturing processes. This role focuses on safety, quality, and timely production within a heavy‑duty truck component environment.

You will operate tools, log and inspect head cores, and use computer systems for drawings and specs. The role offers starting pay $18.40/hr to $25.97/hr, quarterly gains, shift differential, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Capable of repetitive hand manipulation and operation of power tools.
• Able to stand on concrete for long shifts and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Maintain a clean work area and meet quality standards.
• Cross-train on other jobs as needed.
• Previous manufacturing or automotive experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Log, disassemble, and ensure the quality of the head cores safely and timely.
• Disassemble head components for heavy-duty trucks.
• Use computer systems to access data, drawings, BOMs, and specs.
• Operate tools and equipment: computers, hoists, torches, pallet jacks, presses, hand tools, air tools, and fixtures.
• Participate in safety, quality, productivity, and housekeeping improvements.
