We are seeking a highly motivated, collaborative, and strategic individual to lead Ipsen’s NA Data and Omnichannel Strategy. As a senior leader within the organization, this role will be part of the Business Operations & Strategy (BOS) leadership team, responsible for providing strategic direction and motivating the team accountable for developing and implementing Ipsen’s commercial data strategy, business architecture, and Omnichannel strategy & implementation.
This individual will lead high-profile organizational and functional objectives and drive projects with significant visibility. The position requires technical expertise in data strategy, business architecture, and omnichannel, as well as strong leadership and communication skills to drive business solutions.
Main Responsibilities & Technical Competencies
- Lead the Omnichannel & customer engagement function, providing strategic guidance to Business Units & Brand teams on omnichannel strategy implementation and evolution.
- Drive collaboration with cross-functional partners to identify KPIs, develop measurement plans, and optimize omnichannel and digital programs, including global and agency partners.
- Design and execute an omnichannel orchestration strategy aligned with Ipsen’s business objectives and therapeutic priorities.
- Coordinate program updates and reports for leadership, highlighting milestones, risks, and outcomes.
- Partner with analytics teams on advanced analytics to inform engagement strategies and optimize customer interactions.
- Oversee campaign operations across websites and omnichannel campaigns, ensuring seamless execution.
- Lead the development and implementation of enterprise commercial & medical data, digital, and IT strategies to maximize insights and efficiencies.
- Define and execute a holistic data strategy aligned with business priorities, including AI/ML and real-world evidence.
- Establish governance structures to ensure data quality, security, privacy, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, GxP).
- Manage Master Data domains and metadata to ensure consistency.
- Guide the team responsible for commercial IT roadmap development and execution.
- Develop a multi-year data strategy roadmap aligned with business needs and global directives.
- Collaborate with analytics, AI, and digital teams to ensure effective data onboarding and utilization.
- Establish strategic forums with business units to identify priorities and challenges, informing data strategies and implementation.
- Lead data literacy initiatives and enable self-service analytics.
- Oversee Ipsen’s business architecture and technology enablement, ensuring effective project implementation.
- Motivate and develop the team, continuously assessing organizational structure to meet evolving needs.
- Provide regular updates to Business Units and NA leadership on KPI, omnichannel, and data strategy developments.
- Promote an enterprise mindset across the organization, managing budgets effectively.
Knowledge & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or analytical field (statistics, operations research, engineering, computer science, economics, math, etc.).
- Minimum of 12+ years in pharmaceutical/biotech data management and analytics programs.
- Proven leadership in managing teams and cross-functional collaborations.
- Strong business acumen, understanding KPIs, and industry trends.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting complex information confidently.
- Experience in omnichannel marketing and pharma data strategies.
- Knowledge of data governance, quality management, and Master Data Management (MDM).
- Experience with third-party pharma data (claims, syndicated data, etc.).
The annual base salary range for this position is $261,000 - $315,000. This role is eligible for short-term incentives, and Ipsen offers comprehensive benefits including 401(k), health coverage, insurance, parental leave, and more.
