Job summary

Lakota Local Schools Endeavor Elementary School - West Chester, OH is seeking a Head Custodian for Grades K-9 to oversee daily custodial operations in a 1 FTE role.

The Head Custodian will lead custodial staff, perform hands-on cleaning and light maintenance, and support building operations, safety and security throughout the school day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Prior custodial or facilities experience required; experience coordinating or leading staff preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to use basic computer systems and district technology applications.

Description: Head Custodian - Grades K - 9, 1 FTE

Job Summary: The Head Custodian is an individual with site-based leadership responsibilities responsible for overseeing daily custodial operations in a K9 school setting.

This position ensures a clean, safe, and well-maintained learning environment by coordinating custodial staff, performing hands‑on custodial and light maintenance work,

and supporting building operations, safety, and security throughout the school day.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Prior custodial or facilities experience required; experience coordinating or leading staff preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to use basic computer systems and district technology applications.

Working Conditions: Work is performed in a school and custodial environment.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; bending, lifting, twisting, and repetitive motions required.

Exposure to cleaning chemicals, equipment, and varying indoor and outdoor conditions.

8 hours per day,5 days per week. and 260 days per year.

Per salary schedule at Lakota, starting at $19.75 per hour, based on verified previous experience.
