Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and necessary.
• Must be punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Keep building and premises neat and clean at all times.
• Shovels, plows and sands walks, driveways, parking areas and steps as appropriate.
• Check exit doors and panic bolts during operating hours.
• Flag raising and lowering.
• Cleans classrooms daily and dusts as needed.
• Cleans corridors daily and as needed throughout the day.
• Disinfects toilets and floors; cleans all sanitary fixtures daily.
• Washes windows inside and outside at least twice yearly.
• Move furniture as directed and perform minor building repairs.
• Open/close the building each school day; secure doors/windows and alarms.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and requisition replacements promptly.
• Supervise night custodians and inspect their work.
