Overview

Under the direction of the corps officer, the maintenance supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of employees in the general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment of the Bushwick Corps. The maintenance supervisor is also responsible for maintaining electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and related systems within the Bushwick Corps property and building.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and assigns the work of maintenance employees and volunteers
• Performs general maintenance of all Salvation Army property including parking lot areas and building upkeep
• Receives and securely stores all deliveries
• Performs various clean-up and maintenance tasks
• Performs minor repairs such as ceiling and tile repairs, leak fixes
• Maintains the cleanliness of the building front area
• Updates inventories and supplies as needed
• Coordinates or performs electrical, plumbing, and related system repairs and maintenance
• Performs general repairs such as painting, patching walls, hardware, hanging shelves, and landscaping
• Coordinates renovations and new constructions
