Head Cross Country Coach at Sutton High School

The Sutton High School Athletic Department is seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable, and dedicated Varsity Cross Country Head Coach to lead and build upon our successful Cross Country program. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering athletic excellence, teaching valuable skills, and promoting a positive and inclusive team culture. The Head Coach will oversee the team’s development, manage the meet and practice schedule, and work collaboratively with players, parents, and administration to create a successful and positive experience for all involved.

Job Requirements

Prior coaching experience in cross country or track, preferably at the high school level (head coaching experience is preferred).
Knowledge of distance running strategies, and training routines
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate athletes to achieve their potential on and off the field.
CPR/AED/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before the start of the season).
