Description

Friends University is seeking to fill Head Coach Women’s Wrestling position in Wichita Kansas. This position will oversee all areas of the Friends University intercollegiate women’s wrestling program. This includes budget management, personnel management, practice and game planning, recruitment and retention. To support the Christian mission and values of Friends University and the NAIA champions of Character.

Qualifications

Two years to five years of similar or related experience.

Bachelor’s degree is required.

Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.

Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills are necessary. The ability to motivate and influence others is material to this position. Requires diplomacy, ability to garner trust of others and maintain confidential information. Ability to lead in an inclusive and developmental manner.

The position requires strong financial management, time management and personnel management skills. The individual must possess acute understanding of sport preparation and facilitation. Some experience and skill in fundraising and summer camp development will be considered. The individual must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 35 pounds.
