Job summary

Orangetheory Fitness is seeking a Head Coach in Somerville to lead the studio's fitness team, drive member engagement, and embody the brand’s energy. You will supervise coaching staff schedules, guide workouts, and ensure a premier fitness experience for every member.

The role demands proven leadership, strong coaching expertise, and a visible, motivating presence on the floor. You will hire and train coaches, monitor performance, manage the training floor, and collaborate with the studio

Qualifications

• Must hold a current fitness certification from an OTF approved providers list.
• Must have current CPR/AED certification.
• Ability to work and function in a TEAM environment.
• 1-2 years of coaching in a boutique fitness studio required, Orangetheory preferred.
• 1-2 years of leadership experience in the fitness industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive, high energy, respectful OTF studio environment.
• Manage all aspects of the OTF coaching staff using the OTF business model.
• Hire, train, and educate new OTF coaches for success using OTF business model.
• Manage, monitor, develop, and evaluate performance of OTF coaches.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the training floor and studio areas.
• Oversee OTF class schedule and management of the MBO system.
• Meet KPI targets related to the fitness team and follow up with members.
• Lead monthly staff meetings and participate in mandatory training.
• Handle member concerns professionally to achieve resolution.
• Commit to 40 hours with minimum 15 classes per week, including varied shifts.
• Support studio tours/sales and participate in marketing events.
