Job summary

Orangetheory Fitness Southlands is seeking a Head Fitness Coach to lead the coaching team and own the member experience across all scheduled classes. You will set coaching standards, mentor coaches, and ensure every class is delivered safely and effectively.

You will drive member engagement through heart-rate focused training, while collaborating with sales for conversions and outreach. A strong, reliable presence is essential for studio success.

Qualifications

• Current nationally accredited personal training certification (NASM, ACE, ACSM, NSCA, NCSF, or equivalent).
• Current CPR/AED certification.
• 2+ years coaching group fitness with demonstrated command of a room.
• Availability that includes early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Ability to complete Orangetheory coach certification within [XX] days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Coach the floor and teach classes at a level that sets the bar; know names and goals.
• Build and develop coaches; run observations and give specific feedback.
• Own the schedule; manage coverage and gaps to ensure every class is coached.
• Protect quality and safety; audit form, setup, and pacing across the schedule.
• Drive results; promote heart-rate monitor adoption and participation; track progress.
• Partner with front of house on intro classes, conversions, and retention outreach.
• Represent the studio at community events, partnerships, and local initiatives.
