Job summary

Texas Southmost College in Brownsville, TX is seeking a Head Coach to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of an intercollegiate sports program under the Director of Recreation Center and Athletics Operations.

The successful candidate will recruit and develop student-athletes, plan competition and practice schedules, ensure health, safety, academic progress, and compliance with NJCAA and regional regulations while coordinating with campus departments and facilities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Kinesiology, Physical Education, Exercise Physiology or related field is required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of intercollegiate sport head coaching experience at the high school level or above.

Responsibilities

• Provides vision, leadership, organization, and supervision for all facets of the intercollegiate sport program.
• Develops and implements program philosophy in accordance with NJCAA/Region XIV rules and college policies.
• Coordinates recruitment, practices, and game management; plans travel and scheduling; ensures safety and academic progress.
