Join to apply for the Head Coach, Men's and Women's Tennis role at Midway University

Midway University, located 14 miles outside Lexington, KY, is seeking a full-time head coach to lead our tennis programs. This is a 12-month position reporting directly to the Athletic Director.

Key Responsibilities Include
  1. Recruitting, in collaboration with the Admissions team, to meet roster goals, promote competitive success, and ensure academic performance, adhering to admissions procedures and scholarship requirements.
  2. Organizing, scheduling, and leading daily practices, game strategies, competitions, and off-season training.
  3. Coordinating travel arrangements for away contests.
  4. Supporting student-athletes' academic progress and enforcing discipline and sportsmanship.
  5. Hiring, supervising, and evaluating assistant coaches and volunteers.
  6. Managing budgeting, fundraising, marketing, and promotion of the program.
  7. Performing additional duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
Qualifications and Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred.
  2. Demonstrated coaching experience, with collegiate head or assistant coaching experience preferred.
  3. Knowledge of NAIA rules and a strong commitment to compliance.
  4. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and travel for away games.

  2. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Sound judgment and prompt response to emergency situations.
  4. Commitment to the academic and personal development of student-athletes.
