Job summary

Southington High School is seeking an Athletics/Activities/Coaching staff member to assist in selecting and supervising the coaching staff and to direct the girls lacrosse team, with responsibilities including instruction, practice, and game preparation.

Candidates must hold a CT coaching permit, CPR and First Aid, and complete the CCEP Module 15 concussion education; strong lacrosse knowledge and ability to motivate student athletes are essential, with prior coaching experience considered.

Qualifications

• CT coaching permit required.
• Current CPR and First Aid card.
• CCEP Module 15 concussion and head injury education.
• Strong knowledge of lacrosse fundamentals and game concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the selection and supervision of the coaching staff.
• Direct, supervise, and train the girls lacrosse team.

• Handle purchasing, scheduling, supervising and record keeping.

LOCATION:Southington High School

SALARY: $6,587.00 – $7,866.00 stipend

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

To assist in the selection and supervision of the coaching staff. To direct, supervise, and train the girls lacrosse team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: instruction and practice of skills and techniques; sportsmanship; contest preparation with applied knowledge of game concepts and strategies; purchasing, scheduling, supervising and record keeping.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates must hold a CT coaching permit; have a current CPR and First Aid card and, have CT Coaching Education Program (CCEP) Module 15-Concussion and, Head Injury education.Candidate should have thorough knowledge of the sport / activity and demonstrate technical and tactical knowledge of the sport. Ability to motivate high school student athletes.Consideration shall be given to past coaching experience.
