Fountain-Fort Carson School District 8 is seeking an experienced athletic coach for the assigned sport to lead a district-wide program from middle school through high school. The role emphasizes sport-specific instruction, program oversight, and fostering sportsmanship and student development.

The coach will work under the Athletic Director, coordinate feeder programs, manage practice schedules, and ensure compliance with CHSAA regulations, licensing requirements, and safety protocols including

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Has previous experience as an effective coach in the assigned sport.
• CPR and Concussion Protocol training required for coaches.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and is responsible for all aspects of the sport-specific program.
• Oversee, communicate with, and monitor feeder programs (JV, C-team, middle school).
• Conduct self in a professional manner and serve as a role model for coaches and student athletes.
• Monitor expenditures in the sport-specific budget to maintain control of funds.
• Hire and evaluate assistant coaches and sub-varsity personnel as needed.
• Delegate assignments to assistant coaches.
• Maintain practice times within AD/CHSAA guidelines.
• Promote communication between schools and community to support programs.
• Submit yearly program summaries and end-of-season reports to the Athletic Director.
• Attend all sport practices and games.
• Conduct summer athletic camps to promote the sport.
• Maintain upkeep and inventory of equipment.
• Draft and submit sport budget.
• Prepare practice and game fields.
• Assist AD with scheduling and logistics for events.
• Advise on policy changes; promote staff development.
• Establish coaching philosophy and training for staff and athletes.
• Provide sport-specific rules training to coaches and athletes.
