Job summary

Fountain-Fort Carson High School is seeking an Assistant Athletic Coach to support the head coach in developing athletes, teaching fundamental skills, and upholding sportsmanship. The role emphasizes professional conduct, communication with schools and the community, and helping manage practice and game logistics.

Coaching assignments will align with CHSAA requirements and district policies, with opportunities to participate in summer camp activities and to contribute to program improvements

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Has previous experience as an effective coach in the assigned sport.
• CPR and Concussion Protocol training required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in various aspects of the sport-specific program.
• Supervise and monitor all sport-specific athletes and activities.
• Conduct self in a professional manner at all times, serving as a role model for other coaches and student athletes.
• Ensure practice periods stay within the time specified by the Athletic Director and CHSAA.
• Promote effective communication between schools and community.
• Attend all sport-specific practices and games.
• Assist head coach during summer athletic camp activities.
• Maintain equipment upkeep and inventory under jurisdiction.
• Assist in preparing practice and game field/court.
