Job summary

Champaign Unit 4 Schools seeks a Boys Swimming and Diving Head Coach for Central High School. The role covers the 2026-2027 season, with practices and events planned under IHSA rules and the Athletic Director's guidance.

The ideal candidate will coach, mentor, and develop student-athletes, communicating clearly with students, parents, and staff while working evenings, weekends, and some holidays. This is a differential position with experience-based pay.

Qualifications

• Coaching certification as regulated by IHSA or IL Educator License.
• Ability to teach and develop swimming skills for student-athletes.
• Strong relationship skills and positive role modeling.
• Excellent communication with students and adults.
• Willingness to work nights, holidays, evenings and weekends.
• Willing to travel with the team to practices and games.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Boys Swimming and Diving program for 2026-2027 season.
• Plan practices, mentor athletes, and implement skill development.
• Coordinate with school staff and IHSA guidelines for events.
• Travel with the team for away contests as needed.
• Communicate expectations and schedule with parents and AD.

Education
