Job summary

Punahoh School is actively recruiting a Head Coach for the Boys Intermediate Basketball team in Honolulu. The Head Coach will inspire, motivate, and develop student athletes while teaching techniques, rules, and strategies, and will model sportsmanship and develop a team system based on each student’s abilities.

The ideal candidate has prior coaching experience in an educational setting, strong communication and organizational skills, and a proven track record of coaching performance with

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
Two years of leadership experience in a successful interscholastic program or equivalent.
Teaching background preferred, with experience working with adolescents.
Knowledge of athletics value and competition at mid/high school level.
Strong development of practice plans, offensive/defensive schemes, and coaching practices.

Responsibilities
