Job summary

Excel Fitness in Tulsa, OK invites a dependable Team Member to maintain clean, safe gym facilities across restrooms, locker rooms, and common areas. You will operate cleaning equipment, follow schedules, and assist at the front desk as needed.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, shower rooms, stall walls and doors, and waste areas.
• Inspect and clean windows and frames, interior and exterior.
• Detail clean baseboards, wall trims, walls, and handrails; surfaces must be free of handprints and dust.
• Dust air vents, TVs, signage, storage doors, and light fixtures.
• Assist in front desk operations including use of Point of Sale.
• Follow cleaning lists and other assigned tasks.
• Remove trash from all waste areas and ensure proper disposal.
• Operate floor scrubber and vacuum cleaner as needed.
• Communicate with members to provide high level of service.
• Keep storage rooms clean and organized; ensure supplies are stocked.

Job description

Reports to: General Manager (GM) / Assistant Manager (AM)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, locker room areas, shower rooms, stall walls and doors, and all waste areas.
• Inspect and clean all windows and window frames, both interior and exterior.
• Detail clean all baseboards, wall trim, walls, and handrails throughout the facility. Must ensure that all surfaces are free of handprints, scuff marks,and dust.
• All air vents, TVs, signage, storage or glass doors,and light fixtures must be dusted and cleaned.
• Assistin front desk operations as needed, including use of Point of Sale.
• Follow cleaning lists and other assigned tasks.
• Trash from all waste areas must be removed or “pushed down”.
• All rubber or tile flooring must be cleaned throughout the gym floor, including auxiliary rooms and under gym equipment with theuse of avacuum, floor scrubber, and mop.
• Use and knowledge of operating floor scrubber and vacuum cleaner.
• Communicate with members and create a high level of memberservice.
• All storage rooms must remain clean andorganized and productsproperly arranged on shelving racks. All loose boxes and trash must be discarded.
• Notify club management if inventory for cleaning supplies is low and needs replenishment.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment: This job operates in a fitness club environment and routinely uses standard custodial equipment such as cleaning chemicals, floor scrubbers and vacuums. The noise level in the club environment may be loud on a regular basis. Will be required to operatein lavatory areas.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This may be either a full-time OR part-time, nonexempt position. A nonexempt Team Player is one who is entitled to the minimum wage and/or overtime pay protections of the FLSA.

Scheduled work hours per week will be set during normal club hours of operation and determined by business need. Full-Time employees are ones that regularly work at least 30 hours per week. Part-Time employees are ones that regularly work 29 hours per week or less. Availability of full-time and part-time positions are dependent on business need. This position may work outside of regularly scheduled shift hours to include mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnight as required. Workhours are subject to change at any time depending on business needs.
