Job summary

Davis Thomas Elementary Middle School in West Virginia seeks a coach to teach the fundamentals of the sport and promote good sportsmanship among participants.

The successful candidate must hold a valid West Virginia teaching certificate or permit, or a high school diploma/GED, and coaches who are not professional teachers must complete the WVSSAC training and certification program. This position begins with the 2026-2027 season and compensation follows the TCBOE salary scale.

Qualifications

• Valid West Virginia teaching certificate; or WVDE teaching permit or substitute permit; or high school diploma or GED.
• Coaches that are not professional teachers are required to complete the WVSSAC training and certification program.
