Job summary

Applitrack is seeking an Assistant Boys Basketball Coach for the 2026-2027 school year. This role requires collaboration with the school leadership and athletic staff to promote student growth, safety, and competitive success.

The coach will organize practice schedules, supervise the coaching staff, and ensure adherence to WVSSAC policies while fostering positive relationships with students, families, and the community. Training in concussion awareness and ongoing certification are encouraged.

Qualifications

Requirements for Certified Teachers

NewTEACHERS that have been hired after July 1, 2012 who apply to coach on the secondary level (grades 6-12) must have completed the three hour training session provided by Kanawha County Schools and completethe On-line Concussion Awareness Course throughthe KCS Staff Development Site

The training courses will be taught throughout the year.

Cost of the course will be $15.00

This requirement will allow new teachers hired after July 1, 2012 by Kanawha County Schools to be able to coach on the first day of practice of each specified sport identified
