Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement.
• Less than 1 year experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Less than 1 year experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets.
• 1 year of retail experience as a cashier.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service through Lowe’s customer service policies and programs.
• Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
• Respond knowledgeably to questions and guide customers to store areas and projects.
• Communicate stock, special orders, features, application and warranty information related to Lowe’s programs.
• Coach and train associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
• Process sales transactions, returns and refunds at the register.
• Provide correct change to front-end associates and manage register area at shift start/end.
• Inspect and bag merchandise, remove security tags, and verify product information.
• Assist with line vesting and opening additional registers for coverage.
• Enter customer orders, print tickets, verify receipts and loading tickets.
• Price match by looking up product information and competitor prices.
• Maintain store use lists and perform daily reconciliation duties.
• Monitor cash in drawer and cash recycler levels; control alarm triggers.
• Ensure store entrances/exits are monitored and security risks communicated to management.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety standards; adhere to safety requirements and equipment usage.
