The Job in a Nutshell:
The Head Cashier is responsible for the successful operation of the front end by cashiering, training, directing, and monitoring cashiers, providing World Class Customer Service, and supporting overall store operations.

Responsibilities
Main Ingredients:
- Providing World Class Customer Service and a positive customer experience as the number one priority.
- Exemplifying integrity, responsibility, and excellence and adhering to all policies.
- Training all cashiers and ensuring cashier responsibilities are met, including communicating about the {N}Power program, promoting donations to local foodbanks, educating customers on the Nutrient to Know About, and promoting store seminars and events.
- Completing daily sales reports and cashier closeout responsibilities.
- Managing cash drawers, handling returns and overrides, and addressing customer complaints appropriately.
- Ensuring front end set displays are full and well-maintained, overseeing daily task completion, and maintaining register binders.
- Directing cashiers during slow periods, performing cashier duties, monitoring carts, answering phones, and assisting with special orders.
- Learning product locations, participating in tagging, facing, rotating, cleaning, markdowns, stocking, and backstock tasks as needed.
- Working a schedule based on store needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a commitment to 40 hours per week and attending mandatory meetings.
- This position has limited Manager on Duty responsibilities but is not the overall Manager on Duty for the store.

Qualifications
Recipe for Success:
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
- Retail experience in a grocery or retail environment preferred; natural foods background is a plus.
- 1 year of cashiering experience preferred.
- 1 year of supervising others preferred.
- Ability to pass food safety training and maintain certifications.
- Ability to manage changing priorities and stay focused.
- Excellent customer service skills, highly organized, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to take direction, follow through, and be cashier trained with currency counting skills.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
