Qualifications

• Prior coaching experience preferred.
• Head coaching experience at the high school level is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals, player development, and game management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff.
• Valid Iowa Coaching Authorization or ability to obtain prior to the season.

• Lead and oversee all aspects of the high school baseball program.
• Develop and implement effective practice plans and competitive game strategies.
• Promote a positive culture aligned with the mission and values of Colfax-Mingo Community Schools.
• Support the academic, athletic, and personal growth of student-athletes.
• Supervise and mentor assistant coaches.
• Collaborate with the athletic department and school administration.
• Manage program logistics including equipment, scheduling, communication, and organization.
• Ensure compliance with all school, conference, and IHSAA regulations.
• Prepare and maintain the infield for practices and games.
