Job summary

RE-1 Valley School District is seeking a Head Boys Soccer Coach to support the soccer program through the season. You will coordinate varsity and lower-level teams, set expectations, and direct the soccer program in alignment with district policies.

You will track student eligibility and academics, prepare teams for competition, teach fundamentals and advanced skills, and participate in coaches' meetings and professional development while communicating with parents and the community.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or equivalent completed and submitted.
• Willing and able to drive to away games, camps, scrimmages.
• Knowledgeable in techniques and strategies for the sport/activity.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals.
• Ability to follow directions from the athletic director.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, staff and community.

Responsibilities

• Coaches individual participants in skills for effective performance.
• Plans and directs a regular practice program in season.
• Maintains rules and coaching techniques knowledge for the sport.
• Maintains discipline and sportsmanship; enforces district policies.
• Supervises student athletes when traveling.
• Oversees safety conditions for students and facilities during activities.
• Demonstrates cooperative conduct.
• Shares responsibility for equipment and inventory.
