Job summary

Port Angeles High School in Port Angeles, WA seeks a Head Boys Baseball Coach to oversee the program from varsity to junior varsity, develop players, plan practices, and coordinate game strategy.

Qualifications

• Previous playing or coaching experience in baseball.
• Knowledge of baseball fundamentals, rules, game strategy, and etiquette.
• Plan and execute effective practices and game management.
• Communicate with athletic department, facilities staff, students, and parents.
• Weekday practice/game schedule commitment with occasional Saturdays.
• Drive district vans to away games and practices with proper license and record.
• WIAA coaching certification required or willing to obtain.
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain prior to season.
• Complete district safety and compliance training.
• Maintain student confidentiality and adhere to policies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the boys baseball program for Varsity and JV.
• Plan practices, hitting/pitching instruction, and game management.
• Manage field preparation, equipment, and team logistics.
• Coordinate transportation and supervise team travel.
• Ensure safety and compliance during activities and events.
• Log game results and injury reports, and report issues as required.
