Founded in 1852, GSC is a member of the University System of Georgia. The college has a distinctive legacy of excellent scholarship and service. GSC offers nearly 30 degrees, which includes multiple associate and baccalaureate pathways for students. With an enrollment of over 3,100 students, GSC offers an intimate academic setting with state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories. In this setting, students receive individualized attention that only a small college with dedicated faculty and staff can provide.
This dual role involves the management and administration of all phases of the men¿s basketball program, while also supporting the recruitment of student- athletes and other prospective students within assigned territory.

Bachelor¿s degree from an accredited institution.
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver¿s license issued by the State of Georgia for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
Prior experience working in higher education (student experience will be considered).
Knowledge of Gordon State College and its programs.
Experience in post-secondary enrollment services.
Prior experience in intercollegiate athletics as a player or coach preferred.
Knowledge of college policies and procedures.
Knowledge of computers and job-related software programs, including Banner and CRM.
Knowledge of all applicable NJCAA Conference, and college rules and regulations.
Knowledge of Gordon State College admissions policies including freshmen, transfer, access institute, and learning support requirements.
Skill in information analysis, decision making, and problem solving.
Skill in the provision of customer services to applicants and students.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Aptitude for navigating information systems and interpretating data.
Ability to share the benefits of an education from Gordon State College with diverse audiences to build relationships and affinity for GSC, while effectively meeting students¿ needs and interests.

This is a full-time, 12-month, exempt (salaried) staff position and includes a comprehensive benefits package. Benefits include:
Employment offer is contingent upon completing a background investigation including a criminal background check demonstrating your employment eligibility with Gordon State College, as determined by Gordon State College in its sole discretion, confirmation of the credentials and employment history reflected in your application material and, if applicable, a satisfactory credit check. A minimum number of high school visits will be required each month. Weekly work schedules must be reviewed and approved by the supervisor to ensure job responsibilities are fulfilled while accommodating the time commitments and demands of coaching.
Employment in this dual role as Head Coach and Recruiter is interdependent; continued employment in one position is contingent upon maintaining active employment in the other. Resignation or termination from either role will result in the conclusion of both positions.
