Job summary

The Alameda Unified School District is hiring a baseball coach with three years of coaching experience to lead skill development and academic support for student-athletes. The role involves teaching fundamentals, rules, and sportsmanship while coordinating with staff and families to promote a positive athletic environment.

You will track student progress, advise on academics, and participate in fundraising efforts for the program, reporting to the Athletic Director and school leadership.

Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid certs through recognized providers are required.
• Valid California Driver's License is required.
• Coaching experience in baseball and ability to work with students.

Responsibilities

• Teach the fundamental skills and drills of baseball.
• Instruct players in the rules, equipment, and game regulations.
• Model sportslike behavior and maintain appropriate conduct.
• Willingness to work in a group coaching environment.
• Provide academic advising to each player.
• Track the academic progress of each student/athlete.
• Collaborate with Athletic Director, Administration, Teachers, and Parents.
• Ability and willingness to fund-raise for the program.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
