Job Description

The Alta-Aurelia Community School District is seeking a Head Baseball Coach.

The Head High School Baseball Coach leads all aspects of the varsity program while building a cohesive culture from the feeder middle school teams up through the varsity roster. In this role, you will direct game strategy, plan daily practices, and focus heavily on fundamental skill development and character building. You will manage assistant coaches, coordinate game scheduling and field maintenance, oversee equipment and travel logistics, and enforce school district and state athletic association regulations. Essential to this position is maintaining open communication with parents, faculty, and administration, while mentoring student-athletes to prioritize academic eligibility, sportsmanship, and personal growth.

Candidates must possess prior high school or collegiate coaching experience, a strong playing background, and deep knowledge of baseball fundamentals and safety protocols. Outstanding leadership, patience, and communication skills are required to mentor teenagers effectively and cultivate a positive, disciplined team environment. Applicants should hold a valid state coaching certifications and current CPR/First Aid certification.
