Job description

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe, located in South Jordan, UT, is hiring for a full-time Head Baker position. The role offers an hourly rate of $17-18, depending on experience and availability. The position requires afternoon/evening availability and provides benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance for full-time employees, along with wellness benefits such as EAP and pet insurance. Saturdays off are available.

We are seeking a passionate individual who values food quality, customer service, and community engagement. As Head Baker, you will lead a team in baking artisan, sweet, and seasonal breads with honest, whole ingredients.

Responsibilities include:

1. Following recipes and paying attention to details to produce unique breads.
2. Lifting large quantities of dough, flour, and supplies (50 lbs. or more).
3. Working through change and maintaining flexibility.
4. Working afternoon/evening shifts, typically from 11am to 7pm, including Sundays, with possible overnight shifts during holidays.

Qualifications:

1. Compliance with local, state, & federal food safety and sanitation regulations.
2. Leadership experience in restaurant or retail settings.
3. At least 1 year of large-scale baking or pastry experience (preferred).
4. Formal culinary education is a bonus.
5. Must be at least 18 years old.
