Job summary

Pacers Sports & Entertainment in Noblesville, Indiana, seeks an experienced Head Athletic Trainer to oversee the sports medicine team and provide professional care for injuries and illnesses among Noblesville Boom players, and at times the Indiana Pacers.

The role involves prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and monitoring of injuries, with collaboration across physicians, coaches, and management to optimize health and performance.

Qualifications

• Must be qualified to obtain or maintain an athletic trainer license in Indiana; physical therapist license preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in athletic training.
• Must be a NATA certified athletic trainer.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must maintain CPR/AED training as required by Indiana, NBA, and NATA.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day clinical operations of the sports medicine team.
• Provide clinical care to players under physician guidance.
• Identify treatment and rehab strategies with goals and timelines.
• Coordinate services with Noblesville Boom staff and Pacers physicians.
• Manage medical needs during games, practices and events.
• Prepare reports for NBA and NBAGL offices.
