Role Description

This full-time, on-site Athletic Trainer role is based in Indianapolis, IN. The Athletic Trainer will provide comprehensive care to athletes and active individuals, including injury prevention, evaluation, and rehabilitation services. Daily responsibilities include assessing musculoskeletal injuries, developing and implementing treatment and conditioning plans, monitoring progress, and collaborating with physicians, physical therapists, coaches, and other healthcare professionals. The role also involves educating patients and teams on prevention strategies, safe training techniques, and return-to-play protocols, while maintaining accurate documentation and supporting overall performance and wellness initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Injury Prevention and Prevention strategies to reduce risk and support safe participation in sports and physical activity.
• Demonstrated expertise in Athletic Training, including on-field assessment, emergency care, and coordination of treatment plans.
• Experience in Strength & Conditioning to design and supervise performance programs that enhance strength, endurance, and flexibility.
• Proficiency in Rehabilitation techniques to guide recovery, restore function, and facilitate safe return to activity.
• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or a related field; master's degree preferred.
• Current Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers and eligibility for Indiana state licensure or certification.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work on-site, adapt to changing clinical and athletic environments, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification and familiarity with evidence-based practice in sports medicine.
