Trinity Washington University seeks an experienced Head Athletic Trainer. The Head Athletic Trainer is a 10‑month permanent full‑time position that oversees the Trinity Athletic Training/Sports Medicine program for five varsity teams and approximately seventy student‑athletes. Duties include ensuring compliance with all college, state, and NCAA rules and regulations related to medical care for student‑athletes; acting as a first responder for athletic injuries, treatment, rehabilitation, and referral of athletically injured student‑athletes for physician care; ensuring that student‑athletes are evaluated by their doctors on an annual basis to determine whether they are physically able to practice and compete in the intercollegiate sports program and coordinating records with the campus Student Health and Wellness Center; communicating with coaches regarding the injury status of student‑athletes and acting as liaison between the Athletic Department and Student Health and Wellness Center; overseeing the purchasing and maintenance of training room supplies and equipment, and attending all home athletic events and postseason games, providing coverage for team practices; maintaining up‑to‑date medical records for each student‑athlete through an electronic medical records system, and submitting an annual report at the conclusion of the academic year.
