Responsible for the prevention, care, evaluation, rehabilitation, and treatment of acute and chronic orthopedic and medical conditions related to participation in intercollegiate athletics for not less than 1 varsity teams. Assist the Assistant AD for Sports Medicine with providing medical treatment for all student-athletes and the administrative responsibilities of the American University Sports Medicine program. This position reports directly to the Assistant AD for Sports Medicine and practices under general supervision of Team Physicians as defined by the DC Department of Health Chapter 104. In the absence of the Assistant Athletic Director/Sport Medicine, the Associate Athletic Trainer manages the operations of the Athletic Training Room and is responsible for supervision of all full-time Athletic Trainers.
This position reports directly to the Assistant AD for Sports Medicine. Assist the Assistant AD for Sport Medicine in the responsibility of the overall well‑being, health, and safety of student-athletes. Direct supervision of no less than 2 varsity teams to support overall well‑being and physical readiness to participate in intercollegiate athletics. This involves injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation.
Full-time. 35 hours per week. This position requires a considerable time above regular daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly University work schedule requirements.
$68,000.00 - $75,000.00 annually.
Frequent travel is required.
