Job summary

PSIA-AASI Western Region seeks a Head Alpine Race Coach to lead training for junior alpine racers, ages 8 to 17, and to design seasonal curriculums for athletes and staff. You will mentor coaches, communicate with parents, and drive USSA competition outcomes on snow.

The role emphasizes safety, clear communication, and structured performance plans, with weekend and evening availability central to a winter season schedule.

Qualifications

• Advanced skiing skills and knowledge.
• USSA Level 200 certification required (300 preferred) or ability to obtain during the season.
• Experience coaching for an organized winter sports program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Teams department operations as needed, reporting to Teams Manager.
• Train and mentor coaches.
• Conduct athlete assessments and assist coaches with grouping.
• Provide weekly, monthly and season-long training plan.
• On-snow coaching of the Race Team, U10 up to FIS-level athletes.
