Watervliet Public Schools is seeking a basketball coach to support both middle and varsity programs, aligning with district goals and MHSAA requirements.

Collaborate with all basketball coaches to create engaging practices, enforce rules, and manage rosters while ensuring student safety and timely communication with students, parents, and the athletic director.

Qualifikationen

• Must demonstrate sport participation experience.
• Coaching experience preferred.
• CAP Level 1 completion preferred.
• CPR / AED must be obtained or already held upon hire.

Aufgaben

• Work alongside all coaches in the basketball program.
• Create an engaging practice plan that aligns with the vision for the program.
• Enforce all rules of the MHSAA and WPS.
• Communicate in an appropriate and timely manner to students, parents, athletic director, and other coaches.
• Maintain an accurate team roster at all times.
• Supervise practice sessions and maintain security of the locker room.
• Follow all injury and player safety protocols.
• Support the entire athletic program of the Watervliet Public School system.
• Attend all coaches meetings.
• Assist with scouting for the varsity team if necessary.
