Job summary

Responsibilities

• Cooperate with the athletic director and the principal in performing duties related to the school athletic program.
• Ensure that participating students understand rules and policies.
• Conduct the program of the particular activity and total activity/athletic program of the school district.
• Attend all practices from first day to end of season and attend staff meetings.
• Maintain facilities and personnel.
• Supervise students until all are dressed and left the building; secure gates, dressing rooms, lockers and gymnasium.
• Enforce discipline and sportsmanship; oversee penalties for breaches by participants.
• Report injuries, misconduct, or unusual situations to athletic director or principal.
• Check in and inventory equipment at season end.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• All other duties as assigned

Performance Responsibilities/Essential Functions

• Cooperate with the athletic director, and the principal in performing the duties related to the school athletic program.
• Ensure that participating students understand rules and policies.
• Conduct the program of the particular activity and total activity/athletic program of the school district.
• Attend all practices beginning the first day to the end of the season along with being available for all staff meetings.
• Assume responsibility for maintenance of facilities and personnel.
• Assume responsibility for student participants until all participants are dressed and/or have left the building. Secure all gates, dressing rooms, locker and gymnasium facilities before leaving the area.
• Enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior at all times and assist in establishing/overseeing penalties for breach of such standards by individual participants.
• Report all injuries, misconduct, or other unusual situations to the athletic director, or principal.
• Checking in and inventorying all equipment at the end of the season.
• Perform other job related duties as assigned.
