Job summary

The Department of Human Development and Family Studies (HDFS), within the College of Human Environmental Sciences at The University of Alabama, seeks applicants for an Instructor of HDFS appointment.

The selected candidate will teach 4 courses per semester (face-to-face and/or online) in one or more of the following areas: child development, adolescence, adult development, addiction and recovery, parenting, and/or family studies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies or closely related field.
• Teaching experience in higher education.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach 4 courses per semester (face-to-face and/or online) in one or more areas within HDFS.
• Advise undergraduate HDFS students.
• Provide ongoing service to the university, profession, and community.
