United Utility Services in Commerce City, CO is seeking an HDD Operator to safely operate horizontal directional drilling equipment and CDL vehicles to install underground utilities. You will execute bore plans, inspect equipment, and support safe job site operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 2 years HDD operating experience.
• Ability to read utility drawings and bore profiles.
• Knowledge of underground utility construction and damage prevention practices.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate horizontal directional drilling rigs and related equipment.
• Perform pilot bores, reaming operations, and pipe or conduit pullback activities.
• Transport equipment and materials to and from project sites.
• Review bore plans and utility information before beginning work.
• Assist with locating and potholing activities to identify existing utilities.
• Perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance on drilling equipment.
• Monitor drilling conditions and communicate continuously with the Locator and Foreman.
• Ensure proper setup and breakdown of drilling operations.
• Maintain clean and organized equipment and work areas.
• Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
• Properly use, store, and handle drilling fluids.
• Assist with restoration and cleanup activities as required.
