Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation in Texas is seeking an HDD Operator to run horizontal directional drilling equipment and install conduit, pipe, and cable according to project plans. You will perform pre-op checks, read blueprints, and work with a crew in varied terrains.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years HDD equipment experience.
• Ability to read utility maps/blueprints/project plans.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL Class A or B preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate HDD drill rig, locator, and related equipment per project plans.
• Perform pre-operational checks and routine maintenance.
• Interpret blueprints/maps to determine bore paths, depths, and obstacles.
• Coordinate with crew to ensure smooth drilling operations.
• Monitor drilling fluids and ground conditions; adjust parameters as needed.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues in the field.
• Follow safety policies and regulations (OSHA, DOT).
• Complete daily reports and documentation accurately.
• Assist with site setup/breakdown and material handling.
• Take on additional duties to support project goals.
