Job summary

PUSH, Inc. is seeking a CDL Directional Drill Operator/Locator to install underground cables and utilities using HDD trenchless methods. Experience with rural and urban HDD, reading prints/schematics, and mentoring crew members is required.

Must be able to travel and work outdoors in varying weather and environments. The role involves operating Vermeer or Ditch Witch HDD rigs, coordinating locates, and ensuring safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• Experience with Horizontal Directional Drilling around utilities in rural and urban areas.
• Ability to read prints and schematics.
• Ability to train and mentor other team members.

Responsibilities

• Operates Directional Bore equipment for installation of underground cable conduit or utilities.
• Ensure proper steering based on job preparations and projections.
• Operate machinery to conform to grade alignment specifications.
• Maintain bore profile plots and provide drilling data to customers.
• Adhere to safety procedures and participate in safety meetings.
• Inspect and maintain equipment, perform routine maintenance.
• Read utility locates and coordinate day lighting of facilities.
• Assist with basic labor tasks and site setup/cleanup including traffic control.
