Bauer Built in Jackson, MI is looking for a Heavy Duty Tire Technician to service tires for customers in-shop and on the road. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and customer service while performing tire mounting, dismounting, repairs, and inspections with various tools and equipment.

You’ll also maintain accurate service records, lift and move heavy tires, and work flexible hours in a labor‑intensive environment that rewards strong work ethic and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Relatively clean driving record within the past three years.
• Candidates with experience as a lube technician, mechanic, or with automotive backgrounds tend to excel in this role.
• This position is labor intensive and requires the lifting and hauling of tires.
• Strong work ethic, willing to go the extra mile to provide exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Mount, dismount, repair, inflate, and service tires in-shop and via off-site service calls.
• Inspect tires for wear and damage, ensuring safety and performance standards.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed and materials used.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols in the shop and on the job site.
• Perform roadside service calls as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client needs and concerns professionally.
