Job summary

Bauer Built in Elk Grove Village, IL is seeking a Heavy Duty Tire Technician to inspect tires for damage and wear, and to mount and balance tires using specialized equipment for trucks and cars.

You will communicate with customers to understand concerns, ensure proper torque, lift up to 100 lbs, and manage time to meet service expectations, while following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of tire types, sizes, specifications, and repair techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed tire inspections for damage, wear, and performance concerns.
• Mount and balance tires using specialized equipment and proper installation techniques.

• Maintain high attention to detail to ensure quality workmanship and prevent errors.
• Manage time effectively to prioritize service calls and shop tasks to meet customer expectations.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines when handling heavy tires, operating equipment, and working in hazardous environments.
• Respond promptly to on-call service requests for tire repair, replacement, and installation services
