Job summary

Moffitt Services, a Texas-based fuel and lubricants distributor, is seeking a dependable HD Fleet Diesel Mechanic to diagnose and repair diesel trucks, trailers, and fleet equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and document work orders in a fast-paced shop environment.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years of diesel experience, CDL Tanker/Hazmat is a plus, and familiarity with PACCAR Davie4/Cummins INSITE.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred.
• Experience working on medium-duty and heavy-duty truck fleets.
• Troubleshooting and diagnostic ability required.
• CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements a plus.
• PACCAR Davie4 and Cummins INSITE experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel trucks, trailers, pumps, PTO systems, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, air brake systems, steering and suspension systems, and related components.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on fleet vehicles and equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical failures efficiently and accurately.
• Complete work orders, maintenance documentation, and inspection records properly.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Work closely with operations and leadership to minimize downtime and maintain fleet readiness.
• Perform after-hours or emergency repairs when necessary.
• Follow all company safety procedures and DOT-related requirements.

• We are currently looking for a dependable, experienced HD Fleet Diesel Mechanic to join our team.
• This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who can diagnose problems, work independently, communicate professionally, and take ownership of their work without constant supervision.
• Our mechanics play a critical role in keeping our fleet operating safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Responsibilities Include (but Are Not Limited To)

• Diagnose and repair diesel trucks, trailers, pumps, PTO systems, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, air brake systems, steering and suspension systems, and related components

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred
• Experience working on medium-duty and heavy-duty truck fleets
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• PTO, tanker, hydraulic, and fuel system experience preferred
• PACCAR Davie4 and/or Cummins INSITE experience preferred
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
• CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements is a plus
• ASE Certifications are a plus

Schedule
